Colours / Kolory

Graphic designers have something in common with fashion designers. They are both obsessed with colour and they both predict what colours will be fashionable in the upcoming season. And so as the Fall settles in our homes (like maple leaves, curved pumpkins and so on), our clothes (like layering mittens, shawls, hats, cosy sweaters) and kitchens (a lot of cacao and warming soups) – the minds of designers are already in Spring. The crew from Pantone pulled their resources with some great fashion designers and they released a report: The Spring 2013 Fashion Color Trends.

Graficy projektowi I projektanci mody mają coś wspólnego. Obie te grupy są zakręcone na punkcie koloru i obie przewidują, jakie kolory będą modne w nadchodzącym sezonie. I tak, kiedy jesień zagnieżdża się na dobre w naszych domach (jesienne liście klonu w wazonach, rzeźbione dekoracyjne dynie), naszych ciuchach (mitenki, szale, czapki i przytulaśne swetry) i kuchniach (dużo kakao i rozgrzewających zup) – w umysłach projektantów jest już następna wiosna. Ekipa z Pantone połączyła siły z grupą fantastycznych projektantów mody i razem stworzyli raport: The Spring 2013 Fashion Color Trends. 

And in the meanwhile I’ve made Felicity for Piotr halfway and I’m finishing the sleeves of Swirl Thing for Lily. I promised Piotr that he would get his hat by the end of this week, so I have to work hard on it. It is high time for woollen hats as the temperatures here have dropped to 5^O Celsius. 

A w międzyczasie zdołałam wydziergać połowę Feli dla Piotra i kończę rękawy przy Swirl Thing dla Lilki. Obiecałam Piotrowi, że dostanie swoją czapkę pod koniec tygodnia, więc muszę się sprężać. Już najwyższy czas przygotować wełniane czapki, bo temperatura rano spada już poniżej 5 stopni.
